The Public Works and Community Services Department is dedicated to provide reliable water, wastewater, and natural gas systems, assuring the effective maintenance of streets, drainage and buildings with a guiding philosophy of service for the protection of health, safety, and welfare of all citizens through an infrastructure that promotes and encourages planned responsible industrial, commercial, and residential growth in a manner that preserves and enhances our environment.

The Department of Public Works encompasses a wide variety of City departments which include Streets, Drainage, Sanitation, Municipal Airport, Cemetery, Building Inspections, Code Enforcement, Water, Wastewater, Gas Utilities, and the Parks and Recreation system.
