Our community today is a product of the efforts of many dedicated residents who have worked hard to provide a quality environment. It did not just happen that way, it took caring, dedicated citizens who shared their time, expertise and vision. Your city government is governed at the most basic and responsive grass roots level, where citizens directly participate in shaping their own future.
To guide our City into the future, the City Council solicits the participation of residents who want to serve and play an important role in shaping the Navasota of tomorrow. Rewards for service are not reassured in dollars, but in the satisfaction that you cared enough to give back to your community. There are eight established boards, commissions, and committees, and from time-to-time ad hoc groups are formed to work on particular issues.
